Perfect Circle India's manufacturing facilities, located in Nashik in the state of Maharashtra, consist of a Casting Plant, a Piston ring Machining Plant and a Plate Machining Plant. The Company is TS 16949, ISO 14001 and OHSAS certified. It was the first in India in its product category to receive the ISO certification as far back as 1993. The Company manufacture high quality Piston rings catering to all segments - OE, Aftermarket and Exports.

The Company has a sophisticated Foundry, where the stack moulding process used to manufacture Piston Ring Castings and Plates. It is in this Foundry that the first phase of Piston ring manufacturing takes place in an environment geared to maintain strict quality control and ensure trouble-free service life.

Foundry

The Foundry manufactures Casting for Piston rings and Plates through individual cast stack moulding process. Casting are manufactured under strict quality control and then move to the Piston Ring and Plate machining plant for finishing.

A significant percentage of the total production is exported to Europe and the rest is used for captive consumption. There is a large potential for the Castings in the overseas markets and the Foundry is prepared to capture the vast business opportunities.

The Foundry has undergone a capacity expansion of Castings for Piston rings and Plates to meet the additional demand. The Company also developed capability to manufacture Centrifugal in the year 2005.

Plate Machining

The Plate Machining plant manufacturers precisions Plates, which are used as a cover for various types of pumps and transmission systems, from Castings to meet the requirement of customers in USA and Canada - namely, Ford, Chrysler, Stackpole, Diversified, Melling and STT. The manufacturing capacity of the plant is 6 million plates; the Company is exploring new markets in US, Europe and Canada.

Centrifugal Casting Plant

Centrifugal casting plant manufacture centrifugal cast ductile castings under strict quality control as a first operation of Piston Ring manufacturing. These Ductile Rings are required for new generation of engines. This plant is now preparing itself to capture business opportunities for similar type of products further.

Piston Ring Plant

Piston rings manufactured by the Company cater to all market segments viz. OEM, Aftermarket and Exports. " Perfect Circle" - brand of the Company continues to be the preferred choice of the customers.

In its endeavour to enhance productivity and quality, the Company has deployed improvement initiatives for bettering manufacturing capabilities, reduction in waste and to develop new products. Processes that meet stringent customer requirements are factored in - The 'Ford Q1' award by Ford India is testimony of the Company's commitment.

Product Validation Centre

The Company's successful manufacturing set-up is the result of the best manufacturing practices that are extensively deployed. Benchmarking its performance against world-class manufacturing systems, the Company assesses its performance with reference to quality, rejections and productivity. The two dynamometers at the Product Validation Centre facilitate the testing of the products and validate the evaluating the performance of engines, fitted with 'Perfect Circle' Piston rings for its customers is also conducted at the Centre.
